Testing for Early Kindergarten Admission/School Readiness

If a parent wishes to enroll their child in Kindergarten but the child has not reached the age of five by their school district’s required cut-off date, psychoeducational testing is required to determine if the child is eligible for early admission. There are state and county requirements for Kindergarten admission. However, the decision to admit a child early is ultimately at the discretion of the school’s administration.
